A birthday visit to the fountain of youth

D turned 31 a few days ago and he just happened to have the Monday off so we celebrated! We headed to De Leon Springs state park and started the morning off with his favorite pancake joint called the Old Spanish Sugar Mill (if you visit we are sure to bring you). With a full belly and another year behind him I guess D felt the need to visit the fountain of youth and that's just what we did. The spring located in the park is where the famous spanish explorer Ponce De Leon supposedly found and named the fountain of youth. Well, all three of us took the plunge, rather a slow and icy walk, into the year round 68 degree water. The end result was a good time and I'd say D doesn't look a day over 30. It must have worked!
