Today D and I celebrate our 8th anniversary! Actually we celebrated a little early and headed off on Monday for a little getaway...just the two of us. Our dear friends next door watched C while we enjoyed ourselves. We took the short drive to St. Augustine, which you history buffs out there may know, is the oldest city in the nation. We strolled (without the stroller!) around the cobblestone streets downtown and took in some history, yummy food, shopping, and ocean views. Dave booked us in an ocean view room at a very sweet little B&B right on the beach!! I often talked about how I wanted to drive to the beach some morning to watch the sun rise. Well, I can check that one off my list now. We actually set our alarm while on vacation to make sure we didn't miss it. It was beautiful!

ReplyDeleteHAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! I'm sure it felt great to get away and have a grown up anniversary celebration! R and I missed our 11th...but we are looking forward to being together for number 12!!
