If you watch sesame street at all you have heard the above phrase many times. What I didn't know was that they made specific sesame street shoes with Bert and Ernie on them. We also found a super cute Grover pair, but they were a little too flashy. Anyway, as it turns out these are C's very first pair of tennis shoes. It's true, he's three years old and up to this point he has existed in bare feet, crocs (his shoe of choice on any given day), and flip flops/sandals. Even when he was sledding in the snow last Oct. in Big Sky he was wearing crocs with socks. So I'd say it's about time right?! Nothing says back to school like a squeaky clean pair of new kicks. C is thrilled with them, but hasn't worn them much since we are still smoking hot here in FL and breaking record highs. So we will just continue to live it up in our flip flops while we can and keep the sneakers white and shiny a bit longer.Thursday, October 08, 2009
