carve it up

C was very interested at this point because he was curious what was inside. After he looked inside he was pretty much done with the pumpkin and moved on to playing with his toys.
Dave decided to make the face on the ugliest part of the pumpkin. I named him scar face. Spooky huh?

Dave did a great job carving up our friendly jack 'o lantern this year. We haven't carved one since we were newlyweds I think. Just to clarify when I say "we" I really mean Dave. It's so easy for me to come up with ideas of things "we" should do or get done and wouldn't you know it Dave is the one that gets stuck doing the job. He's just so multi talented and much better with a knife than I am. Must be all of his experience cleaning deer over the years. I was hoping to talk C into helping me dig the pumpkin goo and seeds out, but he was a no go on that one. Maybe next year. Anyway, we had a big group of probably 60 trick or treaters come by this year so I was glad we had a pumpkin carved up to welcome all the little princesses and vampires.
