Saying goodbye to Grandma

My sweet Grandma passed away yesterday. I feel so far away right now like so many times when I wanted to be with her since I married and moved away. So many birthdays, celebrations and simple everyday moments missed with someone dear to my heart. She was always keeping her eye on me though and little Caleb too through this blog. It always brought me such joy to hear that she was seeing our pictures and studying Caleb's "sparkling" brown eyes.

I will forever cherish the memories and time I had with her and am changed because of her presence in my life. She had generosity and care for others that drew people to love her and so many people love her. I will always first remember my Grandmother's kindness and warmth. She always made me feel special and I loved her sweet smile (I got my dimple from her) and hugs. The Lord gave her 96 years on this Earth. Amazing. I know that I am just a piece of the fruit of her labor and I'm so honored to be. I love you Grandma and I'll see you soon.
