catching the Olympic spirit

my little downhill skier

It's always sad when the Olympics wrap up. I really enjoy watching them although it inevitably leads to me staying up too late every night. This year I didn't really realize that C was paying much attention to them, but apparently he too is missing some Olympic events as well. On Monday he
asked me if we could watch skating. I told him no it wasn't on and then he proceeded to ask for skiing and hockey followed up by a statement that made me proud...."I like hockey". It wasn't long after that and I realized he was trying to be a skier so I helped him concoct this little getup out of his golf clubs and construction goggles. He was instantly transformed into a little downhill skier in the backyard whizzing back and forth across the yard. He was pretty good but took some tumbles as well just as he saw on t.v. Such an imagination.
