C is FINALLY getting the hang of riding a tricycle. He usually prefers to scoot around on it with his feet on the ground rather than pedal. Well, now that it's spring and the neighbor boys are out riding their bikes most every day C was inspired to learn. He also now thinks wearing his helmet is cool since the big boys do. I'm toying with the idea of getting him a real bike with training wheels thinking he may like that better than the trike. I'm not sure if that would be easier or more difficult for him. If you have any experience in this area let me know.

Ben still uses his feet on his plastic tricycle....It actually seems really hard to pedal. I think Jeremiah and Naomi were ready for a real bike with training wheels by the time they could pedal.
ReplyDeleteIf he can pedal and steer the trike he should do well with a tiny bike with training wheels. We had our kids start on a 12"...but I'd get the biggest you feel he can handle so it lasts longer. Micah was 4 (almost 5) when we took his training wheels off!
