New York, New York

Brooklyn bridge view as I hung out my window. Maybe next time we will walk across (although that's about how fast traffic was moving). It was amazing to think this awesome structure was completed in 1883.

C's first subway ride!

C and I recently returned to FL after a week in New York with D. It was so great to see him and scope out our future home together as a family. We checked out a lot of apartments around Long Island and got a good feel for the area which hopefully will help when we make a very rapid move at the end of the year. The highlight of the trip was our day trip to the big city. We will be less than an hour from NYC so we anticipate lots of trips back in the near future with visiting family and friends. I didn't expect to love the city so much, but it was really amazing. D drove us right into the city like a pro and we parked right next to Penn Station where we bought our Metro cards and proceeded to jump on the subway. C LOVED the subway. I think he could've just sat on the train all day. Instead, we jumped off and hit the Staten Island Ferry for an up close look at Lady Liberty and later headed into Manhattan then finished up with Central Park.
