There were many adults at the festival who certainly appeared to be real pirates. Perhaps they are?...weird, but C was digging it.
There was a large building filled with old sailboats and I couldn't help but think about how much my brother-in-law Fred would love this museum. This particular catboat was built in 1840.
C's favorite band of the day. He could have listened to them all day. I was certainly glad C was a bit to young to understand all their lyrics though.
C and I had a fun little pirate adventure on Sat. at the Long Island Maritime Museum. C has had quite a fascination with pirates ever since the Disney channel added a new children's pirate show to their morning lineup, so when I learned about this festival I knew it would be a perfect outing for us. D and I couldn't resist getting him a costume for his big pirate day and boy was he a happy boy! Move over spider man...pirate C is in the house now.
