Thankful

We were so excited and thankful to have Mama Sue visit us over Thanksgiving. It's one long trek across the country to get here from California so we feel pretty special that she chose to spend the holiday with us. This was her third visit to Long Island since we moved here so we decided that it was finally time to bring her into NYC. Dave spoiled me and Mama Sue rotten and got us tickets to the Lion King!!!! He stayed home with the boys one afternoon/evening and the two of us ventured in on the train and enjoyed dinner and show. It was amazing. :) Then the day before Thanksgiving the whole family journeyed into the city to see some sites. Hmm, it seems I forgot my camera that day. Well, if you've been following this blog you've likely seen most of the sites we took in. It was an exhausting 12 hour day out and about and I felt like we didn't get to show her much. There were SO MANY PEOPLE! We survived though, even after arriving at Penn Station in the evening only to find that all trains to Long Island were canceled. We took a round about way to get home that included some extra subway riding which included MANY of the SO MANY PEOPLE that I mentioned above. Gotta love NYC during the holidays.....

Aside from all the NYC action, the most special part of Mom's trip was just spending some down time with her here at the house and watching her enjoy and love on our kiddos. And as always, we sure do wish you lived closer Mama Sue! Ethan wants more cinnamon rolls. :)
