time to set up camp
happy camper
C asked his Daddy for a bow and arrow and D whipped this sweet one up for him
C and I went on a nature scavenger hunt and found everything on the list!
E found the headlight and brought it over to me to put it on him.
Time to get cooking! Pancakes, eggs, and sausage taste so yummy when cooked at the campsite.
Smores
hitting the trail
D and C have been itching to go camping since the weather warmed up and so we headed to the campground last weekend for some fun. It was above 90 degrees the day we set up camp, but we still managed to have fun. E's first time camping was interesting.....we had a pack n play set up in the tent, but he didn't think it was for sleeping. He and C goofed around in the tent until 11pm. D and I heard a lot of giggling going on as we sat at the fire and then C started getting annoyed with E and was telling him "No, E I want to go to sleep. Stop bugging me!". It was quite comical, but the late night took it's toll on E and so we headed home the next afternoon and he took a super long nap in the air conditioned house. The best thing about this campground is it's proximity to our home so we have the luxury of going back and forth. D and C had a nice quiet night in the tent Sat. night without me and E as we opted to sleep in our beds. Overall we had a great time and got to ride our bikes a lot around the campground and on the trails which C LOVES. Great memories made, but we have decided E isn't quite ready for the overnight portion of camping.
