An amazing view of the financial district in lower Manhattan. The tallest building is the new One World Trade Center which stands at 104 stories and is now the tallest skyscraper in the Western hemisphere.
we have another fan of the big city in our family
D recently spent a week in Brooklyn for work so I decided I would head down with the boys to spend the weekend with him. My main objective was for us to ride our bikes across the Brooklyn bridge because D's hotel was right next to the bridges entrance. We had a fantastic weekend that included amazing weather, gorgeous views of the city, and well, a flat tire on D's bike. Unfortunately the tire deflated down at the park and before we had attempted to ride across the bridge and again, unfortunately, D had given his spare bike tube away the day he left for his work trip. After making a few phone calls we discovered that there was no place near to buy a new bike tube so D opted to walk his bike back to the hotel with E fast asleep in his seat. C and I proceeded to keep the fun going and the two of us rode across the bridge together. Gotta roll with the punches. Which D is MUCH better at doing than I am by the way. So glad I married a patient and understanding man. :)
