Our second port of call was Royal Caribbean's island CocoCay. It was a beautiful day of relaxing and laying in the crystal clear water. The highlight of the day for C was probably the inflatable slide that was 4 stories high!! Yes, he did it alone and LOVED it. I was hanging out with E in the water quite a distance away so I never made it to watch C and the others slide. I hear it was a blast.
E LOVED the water and I'm so sad that I was unable to get any shots of him in it from this day, but I'm sure my camera would've ended up in the water if I'd tried. Don't let the beautiful tranquil waters fool you....there are enemies in those waters! Almost immediately when we arrived I stepped on a sea urchin and had a ton of splinters left in my foot. The local employee informed me that they wouldn't come out with tweezers and that the best thing to do would just be to put urine on it. Hmm, sounded like something my 7 yr old would get a kick out of doing. So off we went to the restroom and with my foot above the potty I told C "aim here"! He reluctantly obliged and surprisingly the pain subsided almost entirely. Later in the day C had his own need for pain relief when he got stung by a jelly fish! The professionals had a special cream for that though so Daddy didn't need to step in. :) He was super brave and once the cream drew out all the sting he was back in the water and happy as a clam. C is SUCH a beach boy.
