girls in the city

A couple of spoiled girls who appreciate their husbands giving them seats 5 rows back from stage! As Tara stated, we could see the spit flying out of the actors mouths as they belted out their songs. An amazing performance of Les Miserables!

Just hanging with Idina Menzel post show. Yeah, we are BFF's now, we sang "Happy Birthday" to her. Her new broadway show is in the theater next to the Imperial where our show was and therefore we somehow got sucked into the crowd awaiting her exit at the stage door. After far longer than I'd like to admit, she finally came out and we got a glimpse of the girl who has encouraged both young and old  to "Let it go"!

The lovely Bethesda fountain Central Park

Lady Liberty from the Staten Island Fairy

Enjoying some $100 per pound chocolates in front of the Rock. Yum-O!

We took in three beautiful churches...St. Thomas, St. Patricks, and Trinity

Ground Zero

A grand finale of dinner and dessert in Little Italy. :)

This year my brother in law planned a very special trip for his wife Tara for Mother's Day.....a trip to NY. Tara's gift was actually my gift too because I got to take her into NYC! What an absolute blast it was to hang out with her for two full days and one night in the city. Did I mention with NO KIDS?! We covered a TON of ground and had a lot of laughs along the way. It was a trip to remember for life with a dear sister who lives much to far away.
