House hunting

The boys had to find creative ways to entertain themselves while we lived in a hotel for 10 days. The TV stand quickly became their favorite "fort" to play in.

We chose our hotel very wisely....must serve breakfast, must have separate bedroom for E to nap and go to bed early in, must have pool and hot tub. We found the perfect spot and the boys did really well living the hotel life. At one point C even stated that it was the best vacation he'd ever been on. I think because he got to swim pretty much every morning and evening. He LOVES swimming!

Here it is....out HOME SWEET GIGANTIC HOME!

If you haven't caught wind yet, we are moving to a new state soon. We will soon be Michigan folk. :) We are excited, nervous, and  a bit overwhelmed to be making this big life change. We never expected to spend almost 4 years here on LI. Over that time so many friends, who are dear to us as family, have entered out lives and hearts and it is going to be SO HARD to say goodbye. At the same time we feel that the Lord is leading us off the island and on to yet another new adventure. There is going to be a LOT of change going on in our lives, which I am not particularly fond of, but we will move forward with great expectation of great things that the Lord has in store for us. So a couple of weeks ago we headed up to MI and began the house hunt! So much pressure. We had 10 days to find a place that we will hopefully be in for many years to come. There were a few bumps in the road and we walked through the doors of more than 30 homes in a variety of areas, but we finally found "the one" and are now in the process of closing. Our move could come as soon as mid Nov. or as late as mid Dec. We are more than tripling our square footage and lowering our cost of living from where we are now at in NY. CRAZY! I just have to teach the boys how to start doing some chores around the house. Gone are the days of cleaning my little house top to bottom in a just a few hours that's for sure. :)
