birthday overnighter in the big city

Celebrating with Magnolia bakery cupcakes and banana pudding in Rockefeller center.

The tree was up and behind that large banner and scaffolding. The process of stringing it with more than 30,000 lights has begun!

Peeking into the LEGO store at their replicated city set up.

My boys having a "buddy the elf" moment at our hotel for the night! Yes they did run round and round in the revolving door for a bit. We live it up on my birthday. :)

We made some very last minute plans for my birthday this year. Since our time is running out here and I love NYC, we collectively decided we should head into the city one last time as a family. Dave cashed in points he's earned traveling for work and got a free night in Manhattan. We headed in after C got home from school on my birthday and took in the city at night and enjoyed some sweets! We all LOVED our cool, ultra modern, orange room for the night! The next morning the real fun began...we picked up some bikes and spent 3.5 hours biking through Central Park! It was amazingly beautiful. It was a perfect day until we hit traffic getting out of the city due to the Veteran's Day Parade. Whoops, forgot about that.
