Merry Christmas!

It was so refreshing to take a break from unpacking to put up our 2014 Christmas tree in our new home! And I thought there would only be Charlie Brown trees left. Home Depot came through!

building his first set of LEGOs with Daddy. A little helicopter!
D expressed to me that he wanted slippers for Christmas. You may have noticed these in my Target cart from the previous post, but boy was I excited when I found these slippers called "Dave". It's the little things that I love. He loves them too, despite the above expression. :)

C's Aunt Jodi, Aunt Cynthia, and Cousin Karen never cease to amaze me with how they spoil C at Christmas with his most wished for and always spendy LEGO set. He LOVED it girls! Thanks again!

C got a surprise gift from a special friend in NY. These are tanks that shoot each other and they are awesome. C can't figure out how this isn't his present. Really we all love them. Thanks Pastor Tom!

Making the VERY important Christmas morning coffee with Daddy. Thanks for the Reindeer blend MN girls!

E and D checking out the remote truck that we gave C. As you will notice C is not playing with it, he was too busy building his LEGOs. Sadly the truck was returned the next day, but happily was replaced with another different and better remote truck soon to be blogged about I'm sure. C is loving it and jumping ramps and taking over the culdesac! Oh, and be sure to book your summer stay with us and take a dip in our new pool!

And the finished product....the much wished for Chima Mammoth Stomper! C worked solid for about 3 hours and loved every minute of it!

This year was certainly an unusual Christmas with the move and all he craziness going on, but we tried to make things festive for the boys and really embrace the true meaning of Christmas. Family sent gifts and although it was quiet and we missed being with our wonderful families we did have a terrific morning together. The afternoon....well not so terrific. E came down with a nasty tummy bug and kept us very busy tending to him and cleaning up. A Christmas we will soon not forget. We were thankful to just be here and not traveling or with others while all the sickness happened.
