A day in the D

 The tree lighting ceremony downtown was held the following day after our visit. Such a bummer to miss out on the lights by 1 day.

Our first time at the beautiful Fox Theater

We have been in MI nearly 2 years now and C has yet to go downtown. He is our city boy and I just can't believe it's taken so long to get him down in the D! An amazing Groupon deal popped up for tickets to see the Elf musical and so I decided that was what I wanted for my birthday! C had a half day of school on a Thurs so we headed south and took in some city sights and dinner at the Hard Rock before the show. E was SUPER tired most of the afternoon and not in the best mood but when the show started he was LOVING IT! Both of the boys love the Elf movie so I was pretty sure the night would be a hit and it was! It was a very late night though and poor little E just couldn't keep his eyes open until the end of the show no matter how much he wanted to, but he almost made it. Such a fun time.
