Mom celebrated her birthday while she was visiting us in NY. I decided to plan a little surprise visit to a taping of the Dr. Oz show as a special gift to her. I was beyond excited the day I actually got the tickets over the phone and was able to keep it a secret from her until we arrived at NBC studios! This trip into the city was a big deal for me as I'd never gone in without Dave and his stellar navigation skills before. Dad, Mom, and I rode the Long Island railroad into Penn station and walked several blocks through times square to Rockefeller plaza. We had a fantastic day in the city taking in the sights, sounds, and excitement of the city and of course Dr. Oz. :) Our taping just aired on TV today and we looked dashing in the audience! Great memories made.
