Our brother in law, Chris travels all over with the Air Force Academy band and we have been waiting for 4 years for him to have something scheduled in the city. It finally happened!! D talked him into flying Christa out here at the end of his tour so that we could spend the weekend with them both. It was short, but sweet and also a little strange not having their 5 kids around. They were home in CO, much to their dismay. D went into the city and spent one night with them and they went to the 911 Museum. Then we spent the rest of the weekend here mostly getting rained on. They flew out on Mon. and so while C was in school and D was at work we popped into Manhattan and spent some time taking in a few more city sights. We enjoyed a nice stroll through Central Park and took in the sights from the top of the Rockefeller. We wrapped up our afternoon in a mad dash, stuck in slow traffic, to Laguardia. They made their flight out though and we miss them already. E was completely taken with his Aunt and Uncle and was always glued to one of their sides, usually being read a book. :)
