Our next adventure was a short road trip from Anaheim to Carlsbad. Carlsbad is very near and dear to D's heart as he spent lots of time here as a kid with his family. We took some time to soak in some sunshine on the beach. Man, their beaches are beautiful in Southern Cali! It was chilly but the boys LOVED it. E got soaked, but couldn't get enough of the waves. We also made a stop for some thrifty chocolate malted crunch ice cream....it's tradition and yummy! We spent the evening with some family friends at their home and enjoyed some sweet time together catching up.
